Another beautiful blue sky and sunshine day with spectacular scenery. We completed 17 miles by 4, which was pretty good considering all the short but steep climbs today and Carolyn’s heels, which continue to bother her. We will do a short day out to Stevens Pass tommorrow and hitch hike into Leavensworth, a bravarian themed town that is fairly touristy but has really good food and beer options. We have both been there a few times when we were living in Seattle so it will be cool to go back there.
We are camped near a nice lake with a gentle breeze. We both ran out of food this stretch so dinner was light. I don’t think I’ve been hungrier than I am now in all my hiking. I am so hungry I would even eat a hamburger!
