We spent our 2nd wedding anniversary climbing and descending mountains, eating ramen noodles and snickers bars and listening to pikas squeak as they scurried about in rock fields.
We are camped in trees tonight and it is much warmer than in the exposed bowl we were in last night. We had frost over the whole tent and our water bottles had bits of ice in them as well. Not entirely fun times to wake up to.
Town is only 21.5 miles away but we will hike a shorter day and hit it the following day instead. Carolyn’s feet are really bothering her and they need to recover.
