We went down and down and down and down towards Seid valley today. The temperature increased rapidly as we lost elevation. We went from 7000 to just over 1000 feet over roughly 16 miles, back into the steam box that is California lowlands in the mid 90s.
We made good miles today in good time, getting a late start at 7 AM (we both had a hard time waking up this morning).
We are campe about 6 miles from the small town of Sieid Valley, in which the trail actually goes through and is the last town in the California section. Well buy a bit of food and get some breakfast before heading back out on our way to the next town, Ashland, Oregon.
