We both had a miraculous nights sleep in the soft and plush King sized bed. We went out to breakfast and then resupplied at the grocery store and were back on trail around noon.
I think Chester has been my favorite trail town so far. It was everything a trail town should be all within short walking distance of every amenity.
We hiked a quick 9 miles to the north fork of the Feather River. There is a nice campsite here under the pine trees where it is cool and shady. There are three other hikers here. A mom, Mama Lion, and her 9 year old son, Boone, who are also thru hiking. We had heard of this duo before. It amazes me that a 9 year old boy is out here hiking the entire trail this year. What an accomplishment.
